Drug Abuse Among Youth

During the past several years, there has been a renewed national concern about drug abuse, culminating in the current "war on drugs”. A drug addict is said to be someone whose life has become dependent on drugs, hence drug abuse. Nowadays young people are easily become victim of drug abuse like as peer pressure, the pressure from their friends and then they tend to have a taste of these drugs and once this is done, they continue to take it and become addicted to it in the long run, the most common example of our daily like is cigarette. Drug mafias are more actives in youth school and colleges that’s why young people are more exposed to the drug abuse.

There is one more primary cause i.e. Depression when certain things happen to someone that is considered very sad and disheartening, the person starts thinking of the best way to become happy and once more the use of hard drugs will come in. This later on turns to a habit.
A drug abuse can be affected in 3 terms. One of them is social affect as he involved himself in socially illegal or immoral activities which will damage his social circle. 2nd is financial affect because if he is addict then he will need drugs to be normal and for this he will surely need money and the 3rd one is by health. More advance search shows us that how these drug works as slow poison. The need of the hour is to educate our youth about the effects and danger of drugs abuse by organising such debates and by arranging awareness seminars in school and colleges so to keep our youth updates so they can avoid this life ruining thing.
